IT Administrator

Department: Information Technology

Reports To: IT Manager


The IT Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the company’s IT infrastructure. This includes installing, configuring, and maintaining hardware and software systems; monitoring and troubleshooting network performance; and providing support to staff. The IT Administrator must be able to work independently and as part of a team, and must be able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.


  • Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software systems
  • Monitor and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network performance
  • Provide support to staff
  • Supervise the company’s software usage to ensure that it is being used in a compliant and efficient manner
  • Document IT procedures
  • Stay up-to-date on new technologies


  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field
  • Some experience or coursework in IT support or administration
  • Good knowledge of computer hardware and software, networking, and information security
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies quickly and efficiently

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Science, or a related field
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, and Security+ certifications
  • Experience with cloud computing technologies
  • Experience with disaster recovery and business continuity planning
