Reports To: IT Manager
Summary:
The IT Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the company’s IT infrastructure. This includes installing, configuring, and maintaining hardware and software systems; monitoring and troubleshooting network performance; and providing support to staff. The IT Administrator must be able to work independently and as part of a team, and must be able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software systems
- Monitor and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network performance
- Provide support to staff
- Supervise the company’s software usage to ensure that it is being used in a compliant and efficient manner
- Document IT procedures
- Stay up-to-date on new technologies
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field
- Some experience or coursework in IT support or administration
- Good knowledge of computer hardware and software, networking, and information security
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies quickly and efficiently
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Science, or a related field
- CompTIA A+, Network+, and Security+ certifications
- Experience with cloud computing technologies
- Experience with disaster recovery and business continuity planning
